○ HOW DO I BREW A CUP OF TEA?
Unless indicated, we suggest using one heaping teaspoon of tea into your favorite infuser, tea bag for an 8 ounce cup of hot water.
Different teas require different temperatures. For example, green tea is a very delicate tea, if the water is too hot, your cup of tea may become bitter compared to the black or herbal teas.
You may not have a thermometer for the water but here are some simple guidelines:
- HERBAL
208 degrees, boiling. Steep for 5 minutes.
- GREEN
175 degrees, or when there's a little steam wafting from your kettle, turn it off and let it sit for couple minutes while you prepare your tea then steep. Steep for a minute to 2 minutes.
- BLACK | OOLONG
195-205 degrees, pre-boil, if its puffing steam, let it sit for a minute before steeping. Steep for 2-3 minutes.
